Wooting 80HE founders campaign ended

The Wooting 80HE Founders’ Campaign has ended, and we are blown away by the sheer amount of founders that supported the Wooting 80HE!

During the Founders' campaign, 23,355 founders raised €7,452,597 in just 32 days.

What’s next?

Now that the 80HE Founders’ campaign is finished, it’s time for the next step towards releasing the Wooting 80HE.

The next step is the DVT phase (Design Validation Testing). During this phase, we subject a small number of assembled Wooting 80HE’s with the final tooling and packaging to a wide range of tests to see if it lives up to our expectations.

It’s also when all the FCC/CE licence, environmental, and packaging tests are performed. These test include among other tests:

• Drop test
• Vibration test
• Saltwater durability
• Humidity durability
• Electronic interference

All tests are executed by our partner manufacturer.

We use the DVT units for approval on the final parts used in the keyboard. We also take a more detailed look at the packaging, the mechanics and the electronics to make sure no mistakes were made.
