Strap assembly

It's time to make your 60he stand out. Assemble the Take Control strap onto the clip using the silicone attachment.

1. Pull the silicone attachment through the clip hole located on the left top side of your 60HE.

2. Fold the Take Control strap in half and align the screw holes. Then align the folded strap with one side of the silicone attachment's screw holes.

3. Push the female (binding post) screw through the aligned holes, covering 3/4 layers. Add the last layer to the female screw and squeeze it together as a strap sandwich. Now you can Screw and tighten the male screw.

4. Repeat step 3 for the second binding post screw.

Installing keycaps

If your Wooting 60HE is an ISO model it comes without keycaps installed. Don't worry, it's easy to install and a great way to bond with your keyboard.

Depending on what keycap set you got installing the keycaps can be as simple as transferring it from the blister to your keyboard.

Make sure to press the keycaps down firmly so it tightly fits the switch. Below you can find a visual layout of all the keycap languages we have available, just in case.

Pulling keycaps

Ready to install a new set or misplaced a keycap? Time to master the ancient art of pulling keycaps using the wire keycap püller.

Keyboard modes & shortcuts

The strength of a 60% keyboard comes from its layers and shortcuts. Out of the box, the 60HE comes with 2 additional layers accessible with the FN1 and FN2 key. Below you can find our default mapping.

Don't like what we came up with? No problem just jump into the Wootility and change it to your own liking with our remapping feature. None of the functions are imprinted on the keycap, so you don't get confused when making your own.
