Electrical Engineer / Full-time / Taiwan
Job description
A new product concept is in development, and you’re invited to give perspective on the technical challenges. When the product concept starts to take shape, you begin brainstorming the PCB requirements and components in collaboration with the CTO and Senior Electrical Engineer. In close contact with the industrial designers and mechanical engineer, you will be challenged to create smarter or different solutions to create an efficient and effective electronics boards for the product. A solid idea and plan emerges.
The process then moves forward with drawing the schematics, design, and routing the PCB for the first prototype. Should an issue arises, you immediately get on with practical testing.
The first version is ready to run and is sent to our partner manufacturer for feedback. During the valuation process you’ll be ensuring the integrity of the electronics by sample evaluation, problem solving, and pro-actively think of problems before they occur. No shortcuts.
The product goes into production, customers start using it, and issues arise. You will start to debug the problem, find possible reasons, and create a solution to prevent it from happening in the future.
In the mean time, you entertain and challenge yourself with new designs, components, and builds for our current and/or future product with the aim to improve performance, lower cost, or train your skills.
You are in frequent contact with your colleagues in Taiwan, including the team leader and project manager. In addition, you are also in contact with the CTO during product development and problem solving.
