Introduction
This guide will help you get started with your brand new Wooting 80HE. Make sure you read through it without skipping too many steps. You'll be thankful you did so afterwards.

What's inside the box?
Let's first double-check if you've received a complete Wooting 80HE package.
- 1x Wooting 80HE (ANSI)
- 1x Keycap and Switch puller
- 3x Spare Lekker L60 v2 Switches
- 1x Spare Lekker L45 v2 Switch
- 1x USB-C to USB-C 2.0 cable (2m / 6.6ft)
- 1x Dongle USB-C (♀︎) to USB-A (♂︎)
- 2x Silicone Feet 2.8°
- 2x Silicone Feet 6°
- 2x Silicone Feet 10°
- 7x Spare PCBA screws (M2 x 4mm)
- 1x Postcard
Installing Keycaps
If your Wooting 80HE is an ISO or JIS model, it comes without keycaps pre-installed. Don't worry, installing them is simple and a great way to bond with your new keyboard.
Depending on the keycap set you have, installation can be as easy as transferring them straight from the blister tray onto your keyboard. Press each keycap down firmly so it sits snugly on the switch.
Below, you'll find a visual layout of all available ISO or JIS keycap languages for reference. Select the language of your keycaps and get started!
Pulling Keycaps
If you've messed up your keycap placement, need to pull out the PCBA, or you want to install a brand new set of keycaps, it's time to master the art of keycap pulling.
Your Wooting 80HE came with a special 'keycap & switch puller', a tool that functions both as a keycap- and switch puller. Make sure to use the right side of the tool (the side that says 'keycap) and follow the instructions below.

Position the keycap puller
Align the puller over the keycap and push down. Make sure it *clicks* on both sides.

Pull the keycap straight up
Pull with one hand straight up. With your other hand hold down the keyboard.

Pop the keycap off
The keycap should pop off of the switch.
Pulling Switches
Did you get new switches? Grab the 'keycap & switch puller' that came with your keyboard. Don't be a fool, use the side of the tool that says 'switch'.

Grip the switch tabs
Carefully grip the north (top) and south (bottom) sides of the switch.

Wiggle until both sides detach
Gently squeeze and wiggle to detach both sides. Then pull to release from socket.

Lift the switch out
Once detached, lift the switch out of the socket.
