Job description
We're looking for a Technical Project Manager to own how and when a product gets built. From the moment concept and feasibility are mature enough, you will plan and drive execution all the way through to mass production, keeping products ship on time and at quality. You will work closely with Product Champion, Designers, Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Firmware, Software, Quality Engineer, Operations, Supply Chain, and our manufacturing partners to keep products moving forward.
This is a hands-on hardware TPM role. You don't need to be an engineer designing every part of the product, but you do need enough technical understanding to follow engineering discussions, ask the right questions, understand manufacturing constraints, and connect decisions across different teams.
What a typical day can look like
You start the morning by checking the project deliverables for an upcoming DVT build. The mechanical engineer tells you that a tooling modification may be finished a few days later than planned. Instead of immediately moving the build date, you first figure out what the delay actually means. Which parts will be late? Are they needed for the whole build, or only for certain tests? Can some validation still go ahead without them? And most importantly, does this delay affect the project's overall timeline?
You then align with Product Development Team and the manufacturing partner, update the project risk, and bring the team a clear recommendation: keep the original build date by splitting the build into two stages, allowing the delayed items to follow later without postponing the entire build.
Later in the day, results from yesterday's EVT build have come back from the factory. Most units passed, but a few showed inconsistent functional-test failures after final assembly. You bring Firmware Engineer and Quality Engineer together to structure the investigation and agree on the next steps. Is the failure repeatable? Does it only happen on a certain configuration? Could it be related to the product, the assembly process, the test fixture, or the test method itself? Before the discussion ends, everyone is clear on what needs to happen next, who owns it, when it needs to be done, and who to involve if the issue cannot be resolved in time.
By the end of the day, you update the project plan and send the team a concise summary, including the updated plan, risks, open actions, decisions, and next steps. The goal is simple: everyone should know what is blocking the product, what happens next, who owns each action, and whether the next build is still realistically on track.

Remote work
The entire team works remote from home, (shared) workspace, a cafe, or a combination. There is a small office in the Netherlands, an office in Taichung, and Taipei Taiwan. Office time is not mandatory, instead it’s a place for collaboration, focus, and equipment to help you get the job done. The Wooting team is primarily located in the Netherlands consisting of customer service, software developers, and marketing. The second largest concentration of the the team is located in Taiwan consisting product development and customer service. The CCO is currently located in the Netherlands, CTO in Vietnam, and CEO in Taiwan. There are also colleagues in Canada, Denmark, United Kingdom, Norway, and more. We communicate entirely in English.

Job Details
Key responsibilities
- Own and maintain the product development plan from Concept & Feasibility through EVT, DVT, PVT, and Mass Production build, , including phase-gate readiness.
- Coordinate milestones, dependencies, and deliverables across Design, Engineering, Firmware, Software, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, and manufacturing partners.
- Identify schedule, technical, validation, manufacturing, material, and capacity risks early, and drive recovery plans with clear owners, actions, deadlines, and escalation when needed.
- Coordinate engineering builds and provide on-site support at manufacturing partners during EVT, DVT, PVT, and early MP builds when required.
- Drive product validation activities, including reliability, performance, environmental, and regulatory testing. Track failures, corrective actions, and unresolved risks through the relevant development phase.
- Provide clear project visibility and drive cross-functional alignment on current status, key risks, decision points, and upcoming deliverables.
- Drive production readiness across materials, tooling, fixtures, production testing, quality controls, manufacturing processes, capacity, and ramp planning in collaboration with Engineering, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain and manufacturing partners.
- Lead technical problem-solving on NPI issues and drive failure investigations with Engineering and manufacturing partners, and challenge root-cause analysis and corrective actions based on the evidence.
Minimum qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in NPI, engineering project management, hardware product development, or a related role, with hands-on experience in consumer electronics.
- Demonstrated experience driving hardware products through NPI phases, including EVT, DVT, PVT and Mass Production.
- Experience working directly with ODM/OEM/JDM partners, suppliers or factories during product development and engineering builds.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Professional working proficiency in English, including hosting meetings, writing project updates, and explaining technical topics.
- Professional working proficiency in Mandarin Chinese for supplier and manufacturing-partner communication.
- Willing and able to travel to manufacturing sites when engineering builds or production issues require on-site support.
Required experience and skills
- Ability to build and manage product development plans, dependencies, risks, and schedule impact.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to clarify ambiguous technical or manufacturing problems into clear options and recommendation.
- Experience coordinating hardware validation and reliability activities, including sample readiness, testing, failure investigation, and corrective actions.
- Practical understanding of consumer-electronics manufacturing, including production readiness, assembly, testing, quality control, and manufacturing processes.
- Sufficient technical understanding to work across mechanical, electrical, firmware/software, quality, and manufacturing topics.
- Strong communication skills to translate technical issues clearly across Engineers, Manufacturing partners, Supply Chain, Customer Success, and Leadership.
Nice to haves
- Experience across both brand-side and manufacturing-side organizations.
- Experience with gaming products such as mechanical keyboards or similar consumer hardware.
- Extensive experience supporting engineering builds and resolving NPI issues on-site at manufacturing sites in China.
- Deeper hands-on experience in one or more technical areas such as tooling, manufacturing engineering, hardware-firmware integration, or quality.
- Familiarity with quality and statistical tools such as DFMEA, PFMEA, DOE, MSA/GR&R, Control Plans, Cpk, SPC, and 8D.
- Experience improving NPI or product-development processes in a fast-growing organization.
- Experience working in remote or global teams.

Salary and benefits
- Full-time position (40 hours)
- Monthly starting salary of NTD$100~130k based on experience.
- Local contract with health benefits and insurance.
- Approximately 1.4M - 1.8M NTD per year including profit sharing bonus.
