Job description
Your day starts with a clear mission: protect the quality of Wooting’s products. Every task you handle makes a difference for customers who trust Wooting.
A typical day begins with opening Slack. You check the tickets shared by the Customer Support team from last night regarding product issues. One ticket catches your eye, you recognize this issue, flagged multiple times in just a week. Your alarm bells go off. You pull together the related tickets and dig into the data. Same product, same production batch. There is a clear pattern.
You start thinking: what is the root cause? Is it a design flaw or a manufacturing defect? You don’t have the answer yet. You then meet with ID, PM, and engineers to break down every possibility. Still no solid conclusion, so you alert the supplier to investigate further. You need to get ahead of this before it becomes something bigger.
While the factory is taking care of this issue, you shift your focus to a new developing product that’s in DVT (Design Verification Test) phase. You need to define reliability test standards, prepare the SIP (Standard Inspection Procedure), and align with the suppliers. You don’t want to compromise and sacrifice the quality you’re looking for. It’s all about making sure this new product gets everything right before mass production.
As a Quality Engineer in Wooting, you stay closely connected with your team, sharing insights, solving problems, and working with suppliers to drive improvements. But your work isn’t confined to your desk, sometimes it takes you further: boarding a flight to China, walking the factory floor, and ensuring every detail is just right.
